It may take up to three or so months for the full effect of a link rentals or new links to kick in.
Since Google began delaying the effect of inbound links to new sites it can take up to 3 months from when your inbound links begin to age for it to pay off big in the Google search results for competitive terms. OTOH - If Google believes your site to be a trusted authority the delay time might not be as noticeable and may not even exist.
A lot of people – including me – got nervous when new links didn’t show effect after 4-6 weeks… that’s a frustrating thing, I know.
But I launched and linked a new shopping site on Oct 12th,and it got a PR7 from scratch now!, has 500k pages indexed and brought in a wonderful X-Mas revenue from End of November until now… it even seemed as if a sandbox doesn’t exist at all… we’ll see in a few weeks …. but the best is: meanwhile it rocks in terms of Yahoo traffic!…
